Meet Our Team

As Practice Manager, Ashley is Dr. Cunningham’s right hand. She has served in this capacity with Durham Prosthodontics for over five years. Originally from Pennsylvania, Ashley attended school in Dallastown, PA followed by Durham Technical Community College. She has extensive managerial experience, having been working in the dental field for the past 17 years. Her favorite part of the job is functioning together as a cohesive team, always with the patients’ best interests at heart. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband, Richard, and their two little girls, Reagan and Reese.

Born and raised in southern New Jersey, Karen left the Garden State to attend The University of Tennessee. After earning a B.S. in Journalism/Media and a M.S. in Recreation Administration/Sport Management, Karen worked as a Senior Special Events Coordinator at West Virginia University, after which, she left to gain marketing agency experience. Working for Charles Ryan Associates, and then Asayo Creative, Inc., Karen then moved on to North Carolina when she was hired as the Director of Marketing and Special Events for UNC Campus Recreation, a position she held for over five years. She came to Durham Prosthodontics from the Duke-affiliated Caring House, where she was the Communications Director. In her free time, you will find Karen enjoying fitness activities, reading and spending time with her husband, Dr. Geoffrey Cunningham, and their two daughters, Annalee and Audrey.

Tami was born and raised in Durham, but now resides in Mebane, NC. Tami joined Durham Prosthodontics in March 2017. As the Front Desk Receptionist, Tami’s upbeat and bubbly personality will be the first thing to greet you when you walk into our office. In her spare time, Tami enjoys going to the gym, camping at the beach with her husband, and most importantly, being with her grandson. She has three children that are grown (for the most part), and forming careers of their own.

Clinical Manager

Brenda is the longest serving team member, having worked at Durham Prosthodontics for 12 years! Born in Charleston, SC and raised in Hillborough, NC, Brenda attended East Carolina University for Dental Assisting in 1992. She has years of experience, having worked in Chapel Hill, Hillsborough, Durham and Wilmington. Why has she stayed with Durham Prosthodontics for so long? Because she loves the staff and the patients. When not hard at work, Brenda enjoys shopping, traveling and being with her children.

Dental Assistant II​

Angela was born and raised in Durham but now resides in Bahama, NC, with her husband Chris, her two boys; Garrett and Davis and her fur-baby Max. Angela joined Durham Prosthodontics in September 2017 but has been a dental assistant for over 28 years. In fact, she worked with Dr. Cunningham back in 2001 before he decided to go back to school to be a prosthodontist. Angela‘s favorite part of her job is working with the patients and giving them a reason to smile while also enhancing their quality of life. When Angela is not working she enjoys going to the beach, spending time with her friends but most importantly she loves being with her family.
